Do you still remember Microsoft’s upcoming dual-screen device Surface Neo and its new OS Windows 10X which were revealed last year? Now, it looks like people who are waiting for them to be launched this year have to wait a little longer. Today, Microsoft’s Chief Product Officer, Panos Panay, has announced to his team members that the launch of the said products will be delayed until next year.

The Windows 10X is the OS that was supposed to be launched together with the company’s first dual-screen device 2020. However, due to the pandemic, Microsoft has to postpone the launch to next year and they will also not allow third-party manufacturers to ship devices running the OS before the official launch.

However, it is said that Microsoft will now focus on improving the OS for single-screen devices like 2-in-1s before giving the public access to it. Other than that, we may also get to experience some of the features from Windows 10X in an upcoming Windows 10 update. It is sad not getting to see the Surface Neo and Windows 10X coming out this year, but we just have to understand it is hard to keep things in progress nowadays.
