Microsoft is now raising the price of its PC Game Pass subscription in Malaysia, which will increase from RM20 to RM25 per month , effective October 2025. So, what should you know about it?
A RM10 increase compared to the original price
Previously, the price of the same service was only RM15 when it was first launched in Malaysia. Then, it was increased to RM20 last year. Now, it has gone up by another RM5, making the total increase over 60% in two years.
For new users, the promotional offer is still available at RM5 for a 14-day trial, but after that the monthly charge will be applied at the new rate of RM25.
Moreover, this increase also comes as Microsoft introduces new Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium and Ultimate subscription plans globally, but for local users, the most significant change is in the price of PC Game Pass itself.
