Microsoft is now introducing a special edition Xbox Series X25 in conjunction with the console brand's 25th anniversary. Here's a quick overview of what it brings to the table.
A special finish for an iconic occasion
For your information, the XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition comes in a translucent green finish, inspired by the iconic green colour synonymous with the first generation of Xbox. The console still retains the key specs of the Xbox Series X, including 1TB of storage.
In addition, Microsoft has also added several special elements themed around the 25th anniversary. These include the "X" logo that will light up in green when the console is turned on, as well as the 25th anniversary logo on the front of the device.
At the same time, Microsoft also introduced the XBOX Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition, which uses a translucent OG Green finish. The controller features some nostalgic elements, such as the original colours of the ABXY buttons and a design inspired by the first XBOX controller "Duke". The back and battery cover are also designed to be completely transparent to show off the classic XBOX logo inside.
Available in select markets only
The Xbox Series X 25 Limited Edition with this special controller will be offered as a limited edition collection in select markets starting in November 2026. The XBOX Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition will also be sold separately. Unfortunately, Microsoft has not yet announced a launch date or official price for the global market.
