A Windows feature that most of us would like to have might be making its way to Windows 11. According to the latest information, Microsoft has started testing tabs for File Explorer in the latest build of the operating system (OS).

Rafael Rivera, a developer of the EarTrumpet Windows app, is the one who discovered the feature. If it ever made it to the release, users would be able to open multiple folders in one window. However, this is not the first appearance of the feature. In Windows 10, Microsoft had also tested something similar but never shipped it to the users.

Since Windows 95, many designers have imagined how File Explorer can be better with their concepts. A developer has even gone further and developed a new File Explorer app called Files, which is available on the Microsoft Store. For now, the company still hasn't made any statement regarding the feature, but there could be one soon.
