Alongside the launch of the REDMI Note 15 Series, Xiaomi has expanded its ecosystem lineup in Malaysia with the introduction of the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses. Designed to blend classic eyewear aesthetics with open ear audio technology, the new smart glasses aim to offer hands-free listening while keeping users aware of their surroundings during daily activities.

The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses Features

The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses feature an integrated speaker system paired with four built-in microphones. This setup enables clear audio playback and call quality while maintaining environmental awareness.

Wind noise reduction of up to 4.5 metres per second helps improve clarity during outdoor use, making the glasses suitable for city commuting and travel. Xiaomi has also introduced a privacy mode that uses a custom algorithm to reduce sound leakage during calls or meetings while preserving voice clarity.

Xiaomi is offering the Mijia Smart Audio Glasses in three designs: Titanium, Browline, and Pilot Style. All models support prescription lens replacement. The Titanium and Browline variants come with blue light protection lenses that reduce exposure by up to 25%, while the Pilot Style model features UV400 sunglasses capable of blocking up to 99.99% of ultraviolet light.

The frames are designed to be slim and lightweight, with the Titanium version weighing just 27.6 grams. Browline and Pilot Style models include a quick-release mechanism that allows users to swap frames easily. Despite their slim profile, the glasses are engineered for durability. A reinforced piano wire hinge rated for up to 15000 flexes helps ensure long-term reliability, while IP54 dust and splash resistance provides protection against humidity and light rain.

Internally, the glasses house dual 114mAh custom batteries positioned toward the ends of the temples. This design allows the frame thickness near the ears to be reduced to around 5mm, improving comfort during extended wear. A quick 10-minute charge delivers around four hours of playback, while a full charge takes approximately one hour. When fully charged, the glasses can provide up to 13 hours of continuous music playback.

Xiaomi Glasses App Brings Smarter Controls

The new generation of smart audio glasses is paired with the Xiaomi Glasses app, which enables deeper customisation and control. Users can manage audio playback and other functions through a touch panel on the temples, with gesture controls configurable within the app.

A long-press gesture can be assigned to activate a smartphone voice assistant for hands-free interactions. The app also includes a locate function for misplaced glasses and supports audio recording, media capture, and face-to-face conversation recording. An LED indicator lights up during recording to ensure transparency and privacy. Dual device connectivity allows seamless switching between a smartphone and a laptop.
