"Charging? What's that?"

Yes, you read that right. The new Misfit Shine 2 doesn’t need to charge. How is that possible you ask? Well, it’s done by simply replacing the integrated replaceable battery that is inside the smartband. This thing can last for six months on a single battery!

The Shine 2 is your typical smartband that monitors your exercising activities and health. It is able to pair up with iOS and Android, it will monitor your workout, nudges you to walk around if you’re sitting too long, keeps track of your goals through a companion app, alerts you with incoming phone notifications, and even watches you when you sleep...just joking, it just keeps a record of your sleep time. 

Don’t worry about taking it off if you go swimming, it’s waterproof up to 50m.
It can even be attached to your shoe while cycling for more precise tracking, cool!

To use its full capabilities, you can take advantage of the Misfit Link that is installed inside the smartband. With the Misfit Link, you can remote control some things like your music player, phone camera and smart home devices like the lights. The LEDs that are circling and shining on it can display various patterns and colours, indicating different functions reacting to it and it can even tell you the time.

The Shine 2 is currently $99.99 (RM428) and it comes with carbon and rose gold colours, more bands and a pendant option will be coming soon too. No Malaysia release dates yet but keep an eye on a third-party seller near you.
