The Ministry of Transport (MOT) is studying a proposal to establish a multi-storey driving training centre, to address the issue of the growing backlog of driving training applications in the capital. That said, what should you know about it?

According to BERNAMA, Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah said the proposal required a detailed study to assess the suitability and feasibility of driving training elements such as learning training, stopping safely, climbing and descending hills, as well as other components that needed to be provided in high-rise building structures.

In addition, there is indeed a proposal that has been given to us complete with a design and multi-storey structure, but we are in the process of studying the suitability of the location and its impact on the effectiveness of this project.

Moreover, he said this in response to a question about whether the government is considering applications from those who operate driving institutes to operate in smaller areas or high-rise buildings for driving training purposes. He added that the study also assessed the suitability of implementation to ensure that the proposal meets safety standards and effectiveness in producing competent drivers.
