Are you a big Monster Hunter fan but don't have a Nintendo Switch to play Monster Hunter Rise? A lot of Monster Hunter games remain Nintendo exclusives forever, and some may have thought this was the case for the latest game in the series. However, you're in luck because Capcom has confirmed that it's coming to PC.

During its Tokyo Game Show 2021 stream, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Rise would be available on PC starting 12 January 2022 via Steam. Best of all, this isn't going to be some simple port. As you may know, the Nintendo Switch's native resolution is 720p and can go up to 1080 when docked. The PC version goes beyond that by bringing 4K resolution and support for ultrawide displays. Moreover, Capcom also promised to remove the cap on framerates, upgrade the textures, and optimise the controls for mouse and keyboard.

In case you didn't know, the Monster Hunter Rise is a solid successor to the franchise. You get to create a customised hunter to tackle the many monsters and quests in the story, gradually improving your gear with an extensive crafting system, and play various side-quests or minigames. If you're interested in the game, a demo will be available on Steam from 13 October 2021.

Capcom hasn't mentioned if the PC players can cross-play with Nintendo Switch players, but we do know that it'll have all DLCs released so far. Having said that, do you plan to get Monster Hunter Rise via Steam? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
