More OPPO Find X8 Mini features leaked online

In previous years, the 'mini' moniker would refer to devices below 6 inches in size. However, they're anything but mini these days. In early January 2025, it was rumoured the OPPO Find X8 Mini would feature a 6.31-inch screen. Yesterday, more details about the phone surfaced online.

According to Digital Chat Station, the OPPO Find X8 Mini uses an LTPO OLED display with a 1216x2640 resolution. It's expected to have very even and slim bezels around the display, a 50MP periscope camera, wireless charging, and an optical fingerprint reader. If you're a fan of the Alert Slider, be prepared to be disappointed because that's getting replaced.

Specifically, OPPO will replace the Alert Slider with a "3-stage" button. What that means is that instead of a sliding toggle, users have to press this button on the Find X8 Mini, and it has three stages. You can think of the button as having a first stage (not pressed), second stage (pressed slightly), and third stage (pressed all the way). Whether there is tactile feedback to differentiate the three stages remains to be seen.

A button will save more space, which the OPPO engineers probably needed for the more compact and 'smaller' Find X8 Mini. Having said that, do you like this 3-stage button or prefer the Alert Slider? Let us know in the comments on our Facebook page!
