So yes, there is another upcoming Redmi smartphone soon. It felt like only yesterday that the Redmi K30 *coughPocoF2Pro* was released but anyway, we are here to report that there are a new tech specs leak about the Redmi K40 5G. Here's what we know.

According to this user, @techyvillage, he tweeted an image revealing some key specs and features of the Redmi K40 5G. First off, most of them do match the previous rumoured news such as the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset and a 33W fast-charging technology. Besides that, there is also two new information revealing that the phone will sport an LCD screen with up to 144Hz refresh rate, as well as a Sony 64MP IMX 686 Sensor.

For those wondering about MediaTek's Dimensity 1000+ chipset, it is said that the chipset is just 7nm octa-core CPU with a frequency up to 2.6GHz, alongside an ARM flagship Cortex A77+Mali-G77 architecture design. It's quite a strong chipset too scoring more than 530K points on AnTuTu. Of course, the chipset is also 5G-ready.
