Xiaomi has been consistently teasing about the new Xiaomi Mi 9 flagship for a couple of days now, and this time around, the latest information has been shared by Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun of what we can expect. So without further ado, here are the juicy news on the features and tech specs.

Coming all the way from Weibo forums, Lei Jun first shared about the screen panel. As you can see from the image, there will be a small notch on the top and there's a 90.7% screen-to-body ratio. According to sources, the new Mi 9 is actually 40% thinner than the Mi 8 so it should look sleek and premium at the same time. Of course, the resolution on it is FHD+ (1080P) and the display material is AMOLED. With this, there is a 103.8% NTSC super wide colour gamut and up to 600 nits of brightness. Even under the sunlight, it features a 2nd gen "sun-screen" that allows you to see contents, as well as a Game Mode for gaming that's similar to Night Mode.

A 5th gen in-display fingerprint sensor will also be integrated under the Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Oh, did we mention that the display will be 6.4-inch long? That's a pretty big phone there and for the rest of the tech specs, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor will be on board, along with a 48MP + 12MP + 16MP triple rear camera setup, with a memory capacity up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB ROM.

So far so good, we can't wait to see it unveiled and maybe the company will show it at MWC 2019. Until then, stay tuned for more Xiaomi news at TechNave.com.a
