Just last week, vivo was teasing a new smartphone featuring a new camera with a gimbal-like design for optical image stabilization. While the device looks pretty ordinary, the fact that the main camera is able to "move" around like an eye is interesting and this week, the company showed more of the vivo X50 Pro. We also got some details of the tech specs so here's what you need to know.

According to sources, the X50 Pro is a part of the vivo X50 series and looks like a mid-tier range device thanks to the Snapdragon 765G chipset. That said, the battery is pretty huge packing 4315mAh and comes with a 33W fast charging technology, and you can also expect some 5G connectivity there as the chipset name implies. Nothing we can find on the memory capacity but it has a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

In terms of camera, the cutout front camera is housing a 32MP Samsung GD1 sensor whereas the quad rear camera is packing quite a combination of sensors. It comprises a Sony IMX598 48MP sensor + a Samsung S5K3L6 13MP sensor + an 8MP OmniVision OVO8A10 + an 8MP Hynix Hi846 sensor. If you guessed it correctly, the OmniVision is a telephoto lens while the Hynix is an ultrawide lens.

Those are pretty fancy names for the cameras, but whether if the image quality will deliver remains as a mystery. Still, the idea of having a "moving" camera eye is pretty cool and we shall wait for more details in June 2020. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
