For your information, Meta says there is a difference between social search and traditional search engines. Traditional search engines focus more on when users know what they want and want to get information related to it.

With the form of short video and image display, users find it easier to trust and learn about a product they want. According to Meta's findings, 92% of users now use social platforms to search for product information, compared to 79% using regular search engines.
Apart from that, 63% of consumers buy faster due to social media exposure, and 65% are more confident in purchasing after seeing a product through social sharing.
