Last year's Moto G8 Play

It would seem that Motorola is planning to launch multiple models for the Moto G9 series soon. Just earlier this week, an alleged price leak for the Moto G9 Plus suggested that the phone was on the way. Now, a benchmark record for the Moto G9 Play has appeared and some tech specs were revealed.

Based on the Geekbench record found, the Motorola Moto G9 Play is an Android 10 device that comes with a Qualcomm chipset. The motherboard has been identified as "guamp" that is believed to house the Snapdragon 662 chipset, which is launched recently. We can also see that it comes with 4GB of RAM.

If it's indeed the Snapdragon 662 chipset, it should come with eight Kryo 260 CPU cores that can run up to 2GHz and an Adreno 610 GPU. According to GSMArena, the Moto G9 Play could also be the Snapdragon 665 chipset. Whether it's the Snapdragon 665 or 662 chipsets, the G9 Play should perform faster than last year's Moto G8 Play.

Mind you, we can't confirm if the phone will be using the chipsets mentioned, so take the news with a grain of salt. Having said that, would you consider getting this low mid-range device if it makes its way to Malaysia? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
