Earlier this week, it was rumoured that Motorola could launch its new Moto G54 soon. But it might not be a lonely launch this time. Instead, it could be a big event featuring multiple new devices. For example, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo.

According to MySmartPrice, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo could launch soon. This 'soon' could refer to 5 September 2023, when Motorola will unveil the Moto G54. The source also showed a video with a 360-degree view of the device. As you can see, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo has many similarities with the Motorola Edge 40. It has the same dual-camera and LED flash setup at the back, a punch-hole front camera, and rounded edges. But the main camera looks smaller, which indicates a smaller sensor and the display is a flat screen instead of a curved one.

Mind you, those aren't the only differences. While the Motorola Edge 40 is an upper mid-range device with a Dimensity 8020 chipset, the Edge 40 Neo is expected to be a lower mid-range with a Dimensity 1050 chipset. The dual camera would consist of a 50MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. It's also expected to have a 32MP front camera, 5000mAh battery, IP68 water+dust resistance, and a 6.55-inch pOLED display. As for colours, it should come in three colourways: Black Beauty, Caneel Bay (light green), and Soothing Sea (blue).

Currently, it's uncertain if Motorola will launch this device in Malaysia. But the retail price in India is Rs 35900 (~RM2015), so expect it to be priced similarly.
