The first half of 2026 is packed with festive seasons. We have the Chinese New Year this month, followed by Hari Raya next month. And for football fans, the 2026 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place this June. Of course, we can expect smartphones made with all these occasions in mind. In particular, Motorola has plans to release World Cup edition phones.
FIFA Edition Motorola smartphones
According to Evan Blass, Motorola will be releasing a FIFA-themed Motorola Razr Fold and Motorola Signature sometime this year. The launch window wasn't specified, but the company introduced the Motorola Razr 60 FIFA World Cup 26 Edition last month. Since Motorola isn't against launching a World Cup-themed device months ahead of the event, there's a chance the FIFA World Cup 26 Editions of the Razr Fold and Signature could show up sooner than later.
Speaking of Motorola, following the special edition Razr, you can also expect a FIFA-themed Razr Fold. https://t.co/IMhGX1j3o6

The Motorola Razr 60 FIFA World Cup 26 Edition officially went on sale in the US last week. It features different shades of green, perhaps to represent a football pitch, with the FIFA World Cup logo etched on the back. For reference, the Razr 60 sports a Dimensity 7400X chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. It also comes with a 6.9-inch main screen, a 3.6-inch cover screen, a 50MP main camera, and a 4500mAh battery.
Price and availability
Overall, it's a good-looking phone with decent hardware. It's quite pricey at USD 700 (~RM2730), but that's the kind of price tag you'd expect from a special edition. The Razr Fold and Signature are both flagship-class smartphones powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, so expect higher price tags.
The question is: Will Motorola's FIFA World Cup edition smartphones be available in Malaysia? We don't think so, but will you buy one if Motorola released them here? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
