Mount Everest could have 5G coverage in the future!

It seems that Huawei, as well as other partners from China, are planning to bring 5G network to the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. Once it has been fully implemented, users within the coverage area will be able to access the internet at the speed of around 1Gbps or more, which is extremely fast.

Not only that but having a stable internet connection on the mountain can also be useful for researchers, as well as during a search and rescue operation. While there is currently 3 5G base station in operation on the mountain, there are plans to install more base station in the coming months.
