If you are planning to get a new smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, this news might surprise you. A recent test shows the new Exynos 2400 SoC is just as good as the mentioned processor. So, what should you know about it?

In case you didn’t know, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will launch in less than 2 weeks. However, there is still no confirmation on the default chipset for the new phone. Rumour says the phone could sport the Exynos 2400 chipset. Interestingly, GeekBench 6 shows the chip is just as good as the SD 8 Gen 3.

In addition, the chipset scored 2193 on the single-core test and 6895 on the multi-core test. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor scored 2297 for the single-core test and 7104 for the multi-core test. As you can see, the differences are not too significant. The SD 8 Gen 3 processor is only 5% better at maximum capacity.

Moreover, Malaysians in general prefer the Snapdragon processor over other chipsets. So, wooing them over can be a tough act. However, if the new phone is confirmed with the Exynos 2400 SoC for the Malaysian release, we feel that it’s not much of a difference. So, you shouldn't be too disappointed.
