According to The Verge, Mozilla has announced a new feature that will be available in Firefox starting next week, which is profile support in Firefox. So, what should you know about it?
A different space for a different profile
For your information, you will be able to create different spaces for each profile, thus separating browsing according to different uses.
Moreover, each profile will come with storage space for web bookmarks, browsing history, login data, themes, and more. This will also make it easier for you to focus on your browsing.
For example, you can create profiles for work, entertainment, and study. Then, each browsing tab will not interfere with browsing for other purposes, and you only need to manage and select the appropriate profile when performing the relevant purpose.
Additionally, this profile support is also very useful if you share a device with other family members or friends. Mozilla emphasises that this profile feature in Firefox also prioritises privacy. Mozilla is expected to offer this update to Firefox starting October 14, 2025.
