Mozilla today unexpectedly announced that it will be ending the Pocket service on July 8, 2025. Pocket is a service that allows you to save links and then read them later or refer to them easily. So, what should you know about it?

Mozilla previously acquired Pocket in 2017. Mozilla says users have saved millions of articles through Pocket, but the way people use and browse the web has changed recently compared to before. With this termination, Mozilla is expected to focus more on developing its Firefox web browser. Existing Pocket users can export their saves before October 8, 2025.

We have yet to confirm other details on the news. So, we should wait for more confirmation from Mozilla. Hopefully, everything will be sorted out soon.
