Nothing, the consumer tech startup that’s making waves in the industry has revealed the first image for its upcoming smartphone, the Nothing phone (1) which is due to be announced on 12 July 2022. The first ever smartphone by the company, it follows the same minimalist aesthetic of its popular ear (1) earbuds by making the rear look somewhat transparent.
Shared by the Nothing official Twitter account earlier today, an image of the rear of the phone (1) with a parrot sitting over it can be seen alongside the device’s official name. In the tweet, Nothing wrote of the phone (1) being bold, warm, full of soul and a return to instinct.
The tweet further revealed that the device will be revealed on 12 July 2022 and that fans can tune in via this link. You can also get notified regarding the event by entering your email via the link.
Carl Pei, OnePlus co-founder and current CEO and co-founder of Nothing shared the tweet by his company and said that the reason why the design of the phone (1) is revealed was due to leaks being harder to contain nowadays. Furthermore, it is also for all the fans that have been waiting for the first images of the phone for a long time.
