Malaysia is taking a major step toward streamlined digital governance. Starting soon, users of the MyJPJ and MyBayar PDRM apps will need to log in using MyDigital ID, the national digital identity platform designed to simplify and secure access to government services.

What’s Changing?

Currently, users can access both apps using their existing credentials or opt for MyDigital ID. But that’s about to change—MyDigital ID will become the sole login method for both platforms, marking a shift toward a single sign-on system for public services. The platform now supports biometric login, allowing users to authenticate with fingerprint or facial recognition for faster, password-free access.

“MyDigital ID promises a new era of digital identity verification that is simpler, safer, and more transparent,” said Nik Hisham Nik Ibrahim, CEO of MyDigital ID.

What Do These Apps Do?

To clear up any confusion, MyJPJ lets users view and renew driving licences and road tax, check demerit points, blacklist status, and pay summonses. On the other hand, MyBayar PDRM is used to check and settle police-issued traffic summonses.

Why It Matters

This move positions MyDigital ID as a cornerstone of Malaysia’s digital transformation, aiming to reduce login friction, enhance security, and unify access across government platforms. Users are encouraged to register early to avoid disruptions once the change is fully enforced.
