Today, the Malaysian government announced that its MyGOV Malaysia Mobile App will officially launch in July 2025. Designed as a single digital gateway to government services, the app is part of the broader GovTech transformation under the Ministry of Digital, led by Minister Gobind Singh Deo.

One App, Seven Core Services (and Growing)

MyGOV Malaysia aims to centralise and streamline access to a wide range of government services through a unified mobile platform. At launch, users can expect support for seven key areas:

  • Travel (passport services)
  • Registration (birth and citizenship)
  • Driving (road tax, driver’s license)
  • Healthcare (appointments and medical records)
  • Summons ('saman')
  • Housing (land tax and assessment rates)
  • Rahmah Cash Aid (STR)

More services are expected to be rolled out in future updates, expanding the app’s scope as a one-stop digital hub for citizens.

Secure Sign-Ins with MyDigital ID

To ensure both security and ease of use, MyGOV Malaysia will be integrated with MyDigital ID, enabling users to access multiple services through a single, secure login. As of June 23, over 2.6 million Malaysians have already registered for MyDigital ID.

Minister Gobind emphasised that this seamless experience underscores the ministry’s commitment to digital inclusivity, trust, and service excellence.

Collaboration with Industry and Long-term Impact

The development of the app involved close collaboration with private sector players, including telecommunications and banking institutions, to enhance the accessibility and safety of digital interactions. Beyond user convenience, the app is also expected to help the government reduce operating costs at Urban Transformation Centres (UTCs) nationwide and improve decision-making through better data insights.

“This is part of our journey in transforming Malaysia into a digital nation—ensuring no one is left behind in a trusted digital environment, said Gobind.
