See someone or a premise that's not following standard operating procedures (SOPs)? Now you don't have to just make random posts on Facebook or make official phone calls to complain. The MySejahtera app is getting an update that will make things easier for you.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that an 'Aduan' (Complaint) button will be added to the MySejahtera app. As the word suggests, this feature will let you submit complaints about people or premises that don't comply with the SOPs for COVID-19 prevention set by the government.

For individuals, you can report those who don't wear masks in public or are violating quarantine orders. By the way, individuals with a quarantine order have to wear pink bands, so they're easy enough to spot. As for premises, you can report those that don't follow the rules on the number of people who can enter or fail to check body temperature.

This reporting feature could be useful if Malaysians actively make use of it, but it's hard to judge how effective it'll be as a preventive measure. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
