MySejahtera introduces new digital blood donor card feature

The MySejahtera app isn't as widely used now as it was when we needed it to check in at various places. But that doesn't mean the government wants to let it go to waste. The government has continued to find uses for it and just added a new feature.

Specifically, the MySejahtera app now has a digital blood donor card feature. This feature makes it easier for blood donors and the National Blood Center (PDN) to track blood donation records in selected locations. Previously, donors had to bring a booklet to record their blood donation sessions. With the new feature, you would only need to bring your phone along.

However, this feature will only work for blood donation at 22 blood collection centres across Malaysia that use the Blood Bank Information System (BBISV2). That means when you donate blood at other locations, you'll still need to bring your booklet. Also, the BBISV2 only has records for blood donation data from the last 10 years. Of course, MySejahtera has plans to update its database, so your previous blood donation records could still be added.
