NVIDIA and Intel team up to develop AI Infrastructure and Personal Computing Products

NVIDIA and Intel announced a collaboration to develop multiple generations of data centre and personal computer (PC) products that combine the expertise of both companies. So, what should you know about it?

 

A collaboration for next level performance

For your information, Intel will design custom x86 CPUs for NVIDIA's AI infrastructure platform, while the new system-on-chip (SoC) will incorporate NVIDIA RTX GPU chips for high-performance computing.

Additionally, NVLink technology will be used to seamlessly connect the two companies' architectures, which will strengthen the integration between CPUs and GPUs.

As part of this agreement, NVIDIA will invest USD5 billion (~RM21050000.00) in Intel common stock for USD23.28 (~RM98.01) per share.

This collaboration is seen as an important step towards building a more integrated and powerful next-generation computing ecosystem. This is expected to accelerate PC innovation for the enterprise, consumer and large-scale markets.
