NVIDIA recently announced a collaboration with Booz Allen, BT Group, Cisco, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, MITRE, Nokia, OCUDU Ecosystem Foundation, ODC, SK Telecom, SoftBank Cor and T-Mobile to build a 6G network that natively supports artificial intelligence (AI) platforms. That said, what should you know about it?

An initiative that could be the foundation of the AI era

For your information, this initiative represents a shared commitment to ensuring that 6G infrastructure is open, smart, resilient and drives innovation. The goal of 6G infrastructure development is that it will be the foundation for the AI era in a world filled with autonomous machines, robots, vehicles and sensors that require ultra-smart and secure networks.

Moreover, this is in line with NVIDIA's USD1 billion (~RM3.914 billion) investment in Nokia last year, as well as Softbank's desire to integrate AI radio access network (AI-RAN) into Japan's telecommunications network. This AI-RAN system has already been announced, using NVIDIA chips as the backbone.
