Proton New Energy Technology (PRO-NET), a subsidiary of PROTON, is pulling out all the stops to build buzz around its second all-electric entry—the Proton e.MAS 5, touted as Malaysia’s most anticipated entry-level EV. The brand officially kicked off its MISI 5 Tour this August, a three-month nationwide roadshow designed to introduce the car in real-life settings before its full launch later this year.
Tour Highlights
PRO-NET has planned stops in all 13 Malaysian states across Central, Northern, Southern, East Coast, and East Malaysia. It will be a high-footfall tourist spot with showroom previews at Proton e.MAS dealerships, alongside interactive walkarounds, design showcases, and expert briefings.
The e.MAS 5 will make an appearance as well, and PRO-NET wants Malaysians to engage with the EV in familiar spaces, from city traffic and family errands to heritage outings and artistic experiments. It contains clever features like smart pre-cooling, real-time charge planning, and adaptable storage that align with daily routines.
Lifestyle Meets Mobility
To bring the tour to life, the e.MAS 5 will be co-piloted by influencers repping distinct lifestyle themes in each region:
- Karl Shafek (Fashionista) – turns the e.MAS 5 into a glam studio at KL Fashion Week
- Johan Eskandar (Culture Lover) – explores pet-friendly stops and local culture down South
- Soyabelacan (Foodie) – cooks straight from the EV’s frunk in the Northern region
- Zameer Pentbrush (Creative Nomad) – paints the car into a mobile mural on the East Coast
- Ain Ramli (Thrillseeker) – powers a haunted livestream from the EV in East Malaysia

Klang Valley Stops (9–17 August) includes appearances at iconic landmarks like KLCC, Saloma Bridge, Batu Caves, and Putra Mosque, plus previews at 16 dealerships throughout the region. Below is a table of dates for your reference:
