Meta has finally launched its Edits app for Android and iOS after announcing it in March. It's a video editing app that was developed as a competitor to CapCut, which could be banned if Bytedance fails to sell TikTok to a US-owned entity. In January, the app was temporarily pulled from app stores in the US in compliance with orders issued by Joe Biden.
For your information, you can edit videos directly on your mobile devices, and then export videos without any watermarks or logos. The resulting videos can then be shared across Meta's platforms and beyond. Similar to CapCut, there are a variety of templates, editing features, and filters that allow special effects to be applied to the videos they want to create. Edits can be downloaded for free on iOS and Android.
We have yet to confirm other details on the news. So, we should wait for more confirmation from Meta. Hopefully, everything goes smoothly.
