There's no doubt that Netflix is quite popular among Millenials in Malaysia, but that could change as the company is starting to track down users who use the same password in different households. It has been noted that some users cannot log in anymore with a new notification that they need to be in the same household as the original account holder.

As you can see from the tweet below, users who have been leeching on the account will need to have their own account from now onwards. However, there are still some options below on verifying the account just in case if it was the original owner. Sources also reported that the message has appeared on TV devices so far.

According to Netflix, they said this was a test "designed to help ensure that people using Netflix accounts are authorized to do so". While it sounds like a legit case, but this does prevent a group of friends and family from sharing the same account and it's a popular thing to do in Malaysia. Just to recap, a standard package in Malaysia is RM45 and sharing across five users will only have to pay RM9 to the original owner.

With that said, Netflix didn't say anything about extending to more devices in the future but don't be surprised if they do so. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
