Today, Acer Malaysia is bringing another round of laptops but this time around, the newly refreshed gaming laptop lineups are packed with the latest AMD Ryzen 4000 series. Besides that, there's also the Spin and Aspire series with the latest 10th Gen Intel Core processor as well and other noteworthy features. The company is also extending its Acer Day promotion to these new laptops so find out more below!
Of course, we have to talk about the new Acer Nitro 5 which is now equipped with AMD's Ryzen 7 4800H 8-core processor. Granted, it's not the highest but it's still a powerful processor and it's paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB GDDR6, 8GB of RAM, 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD with upgradeable RAM and M.2 slots. the 15.6-inch FHD IPS display also supports up to 144Hz refresh rate.
In terms of features, you have the usual dual-fan cooling system which is 25% better than the previous model, 4-zone RGB keyboard, as well as an Intel Wireless WiFi 6 and Killer Ethernet E2600. It's now available for RM4099 but for Acer Day promotion, it can be bought at a discounted price of RM3999.
The Acer Spin 5 and Swift 1 also makes a return as lightweight laptops with new additional upgrades but still remains more or less the same as their predecessors. You can still rotate the Spin 5's 13.5-inch FHD touch screen into four modes, and they're also two variants - one with a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor + 16GB RAM and the other with i5 processor + 8GB RAM priced at RM5299 and RM4399 respectively. The Spin 5 series is now available and there's a RM100 discount for Acer Day, while the first 30 customers who purchased any of the new Acer Spin 5 will be able entitled to redeem Urbanista Sydney Bluetooth Speaker (RM219).
As for the Swift 1, it features an Intel Pentium Silver N5030 processor, 4GB RAM, 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD, and a 14-inch FHD IPS display. On top of that, the laptop also comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 and will be available for RM2099 (or RM1999 during Acer Day) in early September 2020. The new Aspire series is also pre-installed with the same programs.
Finally, the Aspire series - Aspire 5 and 3 - are equipped with the latest 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor + 4GB RAM with additional slots for future upgrades, followed by a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD and 32GB Intel Optane Memory, and a 14-inch FHD IPS and 15.6-inch FHD display respectively. The Aspire 5 (Magic Purple) and Aspire 3 (Obsidian Black and Indigo Blue) are now available for RM2599 but no promo price during Acer Day.
Before we end this article, we should also mention that there are other promos to look out for during Acer Day which is currently ongoing until 30 September 2020. The new laptops mentioned above are eligible for an entry of "Buy and Win" lucky draw, where customers born in the month of August will get a complimentary RM50 Touch 'n Go eWallet credit. Moreover, the lucky draw has a prize pool worth more than RM25,000 for customers who purchase selected Acer models from any Acer authorized shop, online or offline.
