After being announced last May, Google has now started offering new anti-theft features for Android smartphone users namely Theft Detection Lock, Offline Device Lock and Remote Lock. Theft Detection Lock is a feature that uses Google's Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to detect if someone snatches your phone from your hand. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, Offline Device Lock is another protection measure that will automatically lock the screen if a thief disconnects the phone from the internet for an extended period. This will help prevent data from being accessed by criminals even when the device is offline. Remote Lock allows users to lock the phone remotely just by using a phone number.

In addition, this feature is especially useful in situations where users cannot log in to Find My Device using their Google account password. These new features have already started rolling out to all Android users worldwide where some users are reporting that they already have access to Theft Detection Lock and Offline Device Lock features.

Moreover, other users reported they received the Remote Lock feature. Google has confirmed that the final version of this feature will be available to more users this year. So, with these latest security features, thieves trying to resell their stolen Android phones will be rendered useless.
