Besides the software announcements, Apple also unveiled a new 15-inch MacBook Air. With a starting price of RM6199, the availability is unknown at the moment but here's everything you need to know about the specs and features.
Dubbed the world's thinnest 15-inch laptop, weighing 1.51kg only and measuring 11.5mm thin. Despite that, the laptop still packs up to 500 nits of brightness and support for 1 billion colours, twice the resolution and 25% brighter than a comparable PC laptop. The new MacBook has a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display.
MagSafe charging returns, alongside 2x Thunderbolt ports that can support up to a 6K external display and yes, the 3.5mm audio jack is there too. With the M2 chip, the 15-inch MacBook Air features an 8-Core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine, 8GB of unified memory and up to 512GB of SSD storage. Its battery life is also up to 18 hours (results may vary based on usage).
Moreover, the new MacBook Air also has a 1080p FaceTime HD camera and a three-mic array that should be more than good enough. There are also a total of six speakers with two tweeters and two sets of force-cancelling woofers, enabled by Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support. If you want the higher variant (8GB + 512GB), it costs RM6999.
