New Apple iPhone 2019 lineup reportedly using frosted glass for advance wireless charging

While most of the Android manufacturers and brands are prepping for the MWC 2019, Apple is also doing their own thing but there's nothing much we know about the new Apple iPhone 2019 lineup until now. But thanks to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, we got some juicy news so here's what we can expect.

According to his research notes, it seems that Apple will still continue with the same old design and three models just like the iPhone lineup last year, this includes the two iPhones using an OLED display of 6.5-inch and 5.8-inch, while the "affordable" one is the 6.1-inch LCD display. Despite this, it seems that there's going to be new glass materials for the body - it's called frosted glass casing and with this, the new iPhone will be able to charge wirelessly (on both sides!) as well as other devices. We aren't sure how reliable it is but we sure it won't underperform. Anyway, here are the other details that he mentioned:

"The new 5.8" OLED may support DSDS, and the new 6.1" LCD may be upgraded to 4GB. All of part of the new models’ main upgrades include Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) for indoor positioning and navigation, frosted glass casing, bilateral wireless charging for charging other devices, upgraded Face ID (with a higher power flood illumination), larger batteries, and triple camera feature (wide, telephoto, and ultra-wide lens)."

Also despite the popularity of Apple users preferring the USB Type-C charging to the Lightning connector, it seems that the new iPhones 2019 lineup will still use the latter, along with the same old notch on top.

A bilateral wireless charging sounds pretty cool but will this put the price tag higher? There's still a long way to go so until then, stay tuned for more Apple news at TechNave.com.
