Most of us use Google Maps for navigation or to find places. But occasionally you look up a place like restaurants to see if it's good, right? Well, Google wants to make that easier for you with a new feature added to the platform in the latest update.

According to the official blog post, you will now be able to find a new community feed in the Explore tab for Google Maps on mobile. The feed will show you updates such as reviews, photos, and posts of the locations you are looking up. This is definitely useful if you're searching for a restaurant or hotel and want to know more about it.

Google has promised that it will be sourcing these updates from trusted local sources, each country with different trusted sources, including US publishers like The Infatuation. Of course, there will also be information provided by public users, hence the name "community feed". Though in this case, the info may not be as reliable.
