Formerly known as LeTV, the company announced a few new phone models under their new Le2 range, named the Le 2, Le 2 Pro and the Le Max smartphone running Android. What makes them stand out from the rest of the market is the inclusion of a USB Type C connector, and the exclusion of the audio jack.

While Apple has been the company that is rumoured to do away with the audio jack in their phones, it looks like LeEco is the first to actually create devices missing the headphone connector. The new phones comes with an all-metal body construction, with premium design language ala HTC or Huawei.

The Le 2 starts the range, featuring a 5.5 inch full HD screen, MediaTek Helio X20 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16 megapixel camera on the back and an 8 megapixel shooter on the front, and a 3000mAh battery.

Meanwhile the Le 2 Pro echo the specs of the Le 2, with a bump in the back camera resolution (21 megapixels rather than 16 megapixels), a choice between MediaTek’s Helio X20 or X25 system on a chip (SoC), 4GB of RAM, and a 3000mAh with fast charging.

The phones will be retailing from CNY 1099 (about RM 658) for the Le 2, CNY 1399 (RM 836) for the Le 2 Pro X20 variant and CNY 1499 (RM 896 ) for the X25 variant, and CNY 2499 (RM 1457) for the top model for the Le Max 2.
