Today, Maybank rolled out a new update on the MAE app that allows users to switch between individual and sole proprietor access. To use this new feature, customers must update the MAE app to the latest 0.9.25 version on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery.

With the new update, the need to switch between devices to access your sole proprietor M2U accounts and your individual M2U account has been simplified. That said, you must activate Secure2u again via ATM after you add new access and go through a 12-hour cooling period. Users only need to do this for the first time.

To link other accesses on your device, you just have to launch your MAE app -> Settings -> Switch and then you should see the "+ Link M2U Access" at the bottom. Simply tap on the button and follow the on-screen instructions and you'll be done within a few minutes. To unlink access from your MAE app, you can tap on the "..." button at the top right corner of the same page.

For your information, you can only add up to five M2U accesses on your MAE app at the same time. Below is a list of examples provided by Maybank of how it works on your MAE app

  • 5 sole proprietor M2U access
  • 4 sole proprietor M2U access, 1 individual M2U access
