In early 2023, Samsung surprised everyone when they released the Galaxy S23 series with a Snapdragon processor. As a result, the phone gained a massive boost to its sustained performance and battery life. Rumour suggests that Samsung will return to the Exynos SoC for the S24 series next year. However, the Galaxy S24+ has appeared with a new Snapdragon processor.

Interestingly, the S24+ variant with the Snapdragon processor appears to be US-bound. So far, it has appeared on Geekbench's database with model number SM-S926U. According to the database, it features the impressive Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. But that comes at the cost of its multitasking abilities.

Additionally, it will only run 8GB RAM, which is underwhelming. A phone of this calibre should run 12GB RAM at minimum. The benchmark also reveals that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor has one Cortex-X4 CPU clocked at 3.3GHz and three Cortex-A720 CPU cores clocked at 3.15GHz. It also features two Cortex-A720 CPU cores clocked at 2.96GHz, and two Cortex-A520 CPU cores clocked at 2.27GHz.

Moreover, the Galaxy S24+ also features the Adreno 750 GPU and runs Android 14. It also scored 2,233 points in the single-core CPU test (Geekbench 6) and 6,661 points in the multi-core CPU test. Rumour says this phone will be sold in Europe, Latin America, and some parts of Asia. The Exynos 2400 processor is expected to arrive in this region. We have yet to confirm the efficiency of this processor. Hopefully, it is as good as Snapdragon. Because if it is not, we will see a lot of issues surfacing in the future.
