As smartphone brands continue to optimise AI functions for all of their phones, Qualcomm has announced a new Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Mobile Platform for entry-level devices. According to the company, the chipset has performance upgrades with AI capabilities.

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset is said to provide longer battery life with AI support thanks to the Qualcomm AI Engine and Qualcomm Sensing Hub. In addition, the Gen AI support can help summarise content, draft emails and more. Mobile gaming will be better with Snapdragon Elite Gaming and Snapdragon Sound Technology Suit on board.

On the official website, Qualcomm said the Snapdragon Game Super Resolution can intelligently upscale visuals from 1080p to 4K while optimising performance and battery power. Plus, the Adreno Frame Motion Engine can double frame rates while maintaining efficiency. The Kryo CPU is now 11% faster, while the Adreno GPU is 29% more powerful than its predecessor.

Besides mobile gaming, Qualcomm also promises better image capture for low-light environments with Snapdragon Low Light Vision technology, as it provides noise reduction and supports up to 200MP single shots. Qualcomm's aptX lossless support is also present and you can bet there is 5G, WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity.
