So far, in the quest for 100% screen ratio, smartphone brands have gone for pop-up cameras and top sliders, but a new ZTE design indicates that we could soon see a ZTE smartphone with 100% screen ratio AND a side slider with triple front cameras and a Xenon flash. Other rumoured tech specs includes dual rear cameras and 5x optical zoom, support for 5G and since there's no fingerprint sensor anywhere else, it is also assumed that it will have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
From the renders, they seem to be more a concept than an actual device as there is also a render where the front cameras are placed on a part that sticks out on the side. There's also a number of side sliders that go to the right with a choice of 2 front cameras and 3 front cameras with no flash.
Quite obviously, there's no Malaysia release dates or pricing details just yet, so do take this with a pinch of salt. There's not even a name yet, but it certainly sounds like an interesting alternative to pop-up cameras or top sliders. What do you think? Would you want a side sliding smartphone?
