Two new Toshiba laptops - the Portégé X30 and Tecra X40 were released by Toshiba Singapore Pte Ltd yesterday. Built in mind for the people who works in professional business fields, the laptops are exceptionally light weight, ultra thin and powerful. The two laptops will be available across Asia from July 2017 but no price were mentioned yet.
First up, the 14-inch Tecra X40 measures 16.9mm thin and weighs 1.25kg only. The body is made out of magnesium alloy chassis and has a shock absorption. The 13.3-inch Portégé X30 is light weight as well at 1.05kg and is just 15.9mm thin. Despite the thinness, both still features Anti-Glare screens too, with optional In-Cell Touch technology for touchscreen.

Moving on, the two have fast PCIe solid state drives and DDR4 memory, following the footsteps of the Portégé X20W-D, harman/kardon stereo speakers and DTS Sound software are also present. In the ports-corner, there is an optional Thunderbolt 3 Dock, two USB Type-C, a full size USB3.0, HDMI port, and a microSD Card Slot.

On a security level, there are multiple layers of security inside and out. Both include biometric and optional facial authentication technologies – most notably a new Touchpad with a built-in fingerprint sensor called SecurePad with Synaptics Natural ID fingerprint sensor. On top of that, these protection are bolstered by Toshiba’s own built-in BIOS, which removes the risk of third party interference which could leave a device more vulnerable to attack and unauthorized access.
Finally, both laptops will be available in Onyx Blue and Light Gold option. For more information about the products, click either one of the links below to get started and stay tuned for more Toshiba news at TechNave.com.
