Rather than phone calls, most people keep in touch through messaging apps these days. So it's always nice to see new features being added to these apps. Facebook is aware of that, as it has added some new chat features and other features to Messenger and Instagram.
As part of the update, Facebook added some new chat themes to the two apps. One of the themes was a Star Wars theme (yesterday was Star Wars day), while the other one is a theme for the Netflix show Selena: The Series. To enable them, just go to the chat settings and select 'Theme' to find the one you want to use.
Another new feature would be the visual reply function for Instagram, which allows you to reply to DMs with a photo or video. Users will also have an easier time with audio messages now. Instead of having to hold down the record button, now you just need to tap it once. Speaking of messages, you will now know whether your friends have seen your messages with the "inbox seen state" feature.
Chat themes might not be something you normally use, but better quality of life for a frequently used app is always welcome. Having said that, what do you think about the new features?
