WhatsApp has been extensively working on new features recently as we already saw the new voice previews and group chat features. Today, the company is now testing a new uncomplicated visual feature to remind users that their chat and calls are encrypted.

According to the source, this new feature will be a new footer within the Status and Calls section with a message that shows “ Your status/personal calls are end-to-end encrypted.” It will soon expand from the Status and Calls section to the Chats section as well which will be a fixed reminder of WhatsApp privacy encryption.

By looking at the screenshots, the feature is now only limited to the iOS version of WhatsApp but not on the Android version yet since its still under development phase. Another new feature you might not know will be the ability to hide the “last seen” status from strangers of unknown contacts.

As of now, we still have yet to receive the latest update for the new feature on WhatsApp. So do stay tuned on our Facebook page and TechNave.com for more tech news updates.
