Today, realme has unveiled the realme 8 5G and it's part of the realme 8 series family lineup. While there's no sign of the realme 8 Pro 5G, the company did confirm that it's on the way. So in the meantime, here's what you need to know about the realme 8 5G.
For starters, the realme 8 5G has some changes compared with the realme 8 phone. It features a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset in a 7nm process, alongside two memory variants which are 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. If the user wants more space, it can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card dedicated slot.
On top of that, the realme 8 5G also sports a 6.5-inch LCD supporting a 90Hz refresh rate in 1080p resolution. A 16MP front camera can be found as a punch-hole on the top left, whereas the triple rear camera consists of a 48MP main camera but with an unspecified (on purpose?) black and white portrait lens and 4cm macro lens. For the battery, there's a 5000mAh battery pack supporting 18W fast charging technology.
Sources have confirmed that the realme 8 5G is arriving in Thailand first before India. For the price, it cost BHT 10,000 (~RM1311) and it would only be a matter of time for its debut in Malaysia. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
