We don’t know how more obvious you can be but the new teaser for Samsung’s upcoming 9 February 2022 Galaxy Unpacked all but confirms that there will be an S Pen for a Samsung Galaxy S22 series smartphone. That phone is most likely the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G which is expected to come with tech specs that include either the Exynos 2200 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with 8/12GB of RAM and 128 ~ 512GB of storage.
You can watch the whole teaser video below but it really has a Galaxy Note sort of vibe where they collect all the things you can do with an S Pen like draw with a pencil, paint with a paint brush, use a bluetooth remote control and so forth. This sort of confirms earlier leaks of how the Galaxy S22 Ultra will look and feel like from redditor (iSmokeGSCookies) who says, “The phone looks exactly like the Note 20 Ultra pen built-in and body size but the camera doesn’t stick out it’s almost all flat.”
The latest teaser all but confirms there's an S Pen involved
As a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G phone user myself, this makes me really excited to check out the Galaxy S22 Ultra as that huge camera bump was one of the main things that broke the design for me. Leaked camera tech specs for the S22 Ultra indicate that it should still be fairly camera centric with 12MP ultra wide + 108MP wide + 10MP tele OIS + 10MP tele OIS quad rear cameras and a 40MP front camera.
In any case, you should be able to catch the 9 February 2022 Galaxy Unpacked at 11pm Malaysia time easier if you add it to your calendar at www.samsung.com/my/unpacked/ where you can also pre-register for the Next Galaxy with an RM200 rebate. You can also check out the full trailer for the unpacked below where Samsung continues to give rather obvious tips as to what their Galaxy S22 series cameraphones will be able to do like “Break the rules of light” and so forth.
