There have been leaks and rumours about the Apple AirTags since last year. It was expected to launch with new iPads last month, but as you know that event was delayed. Fortunately, it looks like Apple still plans to launch it with the new iPads as a new rumour hints that it's coming soon.

According to TechCrunch, Apple has released a new "Find My Certification Asst." app on the App Store. It works with Apple's Find My Network, which helps users find their missing Apple devices. Apple and other licensed third-party devices can use this new app to test the compatibility of accessories like the Apple AirTags with the network.

More importantly, opening the app to other developers is a good thing. It means we'll probably get an AirTag designed by a third-party company, and it'll most likely be cheaper too. Apple's Find My app was also updated and now has an 'Items' tab to track other accessories and items that may be compatible with the app.

If all goes well, the Apple AirTags should launch with a new iPad Pro and iPad mini sometime this month. Having said that, which of the new products are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
