Based on a statement by Qualcomm President Cristiano Amon, it seems the Qualcomm is currently working closely with HONOR most likely to release a new smartphone that’s equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chipset. Unfortunately, we will not be seeing the new smartphone from HONOR very soon as a previous report suggests that the upcoming HONOR smartphone, which is most likely the HONOR V40 series, will be unveiled somewhere around January 2021.

But that’s not all, our source mentioned that the V40 series might come with the Dimensity 1000+ instead of the Snapdragon 888 5G chipsets likely due to time constraints. However, you might want to take that info with a grain of salt, as HONOR, as well as Qualcomm, has yet to provide an official statement on the leaked info.

With all that said, what are your thoughts on HONOR potentially releasing a smartphone that’s equipped with the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset? Let us know on our Facebook page and for more updates like this, stay tuned to TechNave.com.
