Niantic is making it more convenient to play their games at home

Although games like Pokemon Go and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite were designed for people to get out and exercise, this isn't possible when we're all told to stay at home. Niantic had to rethink how its games can work if you're not able to walk long distances and to actual locations. With that line of thought, the company will implement some new measures for those stuck at home.

Niantic has announced ways that players can continue to play its titles even while indoors, at least in the weeks to come. For example, Adventure Sync will track your steps indoors as well, so you can use your treadmill to get some exercise and still make progress in the game. You'll also be able to do Raid Battles in Pokemon Go with your friends, despite not being able to meet up.

Additionally, Niantic will look into reworking how live events like Pokemon Go Fest would work. The developer has promised that there will be a new way for players to enjoy such events but didn't go into the details about it. We do know that Pokemon Go has been getting cheap bundles for Pokeballs since you can't go out and get them now. This is useful if you don't mind spending a bit of money in the game.

With that said, have your games been able to help keep the stress at bay during this time? Also, have you tried out any of the new changes for Niantic games yet? Let us know what you think of them on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news on tech and games.
