In a move that will likely delight most Nikon 1 owners, Nikon have relased the 1 Nikkor 32mm lens. While it does offer a reasonable 86mm equivalent distance what makes it really special is that it is an extremely fast telephoto lens at f/1.2 aperture. This should make it perfect for low-light shots, action shots and portraits that don't have optimum background lighting or are a bit soft.
While it may not be a world's first it is one of the first Nikon-made mirrorless lens to also feature a manual focus ring. A Nano Crystal Coat reduces ghost and flare effects while the Silent Wave Motor and other features increase overall performance and image quality. The lens is expected to be available from June 2013 at a price of $899.95 (RM2688.60). For more information go to the Nikon site.
