Nikon announces two new KeyMission action cameras

For those who are looking for capturing some action footage in rugged environments, Nikon has announced a couple of models that is designed to capture high resolution video, in any situation imaginable. The two models are the 4K UHD-capable KeyMission 170 with a 170 degree field-of-view, and the KeyMission 80, a small 1080p capable wearable/lifestyle camera with an 80-degree field-of-view.

The Keymission 170 features a water/shock/freezeproof design without the need for a case, a rarity in the 4K-action camera market. It has electronic stabilization when shooting in 1080p mode, up to 120fps. It features a 12MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor and has a built-in non-touch LCD, stereo mic, a standard tripod socket and a the Nikon EN-EL12 battery.

For the KeyMission 80, it comes with a 12MP 1/2.3" sensor and has a 4.9MP rear 'selfie-cam.' It is waterproof to 1M, and shockproof to 1.5M – and the LCD screen is touch capable. It is also intended to be used vertically, and comes with a holster to mount it on a backpack or clothing.

The cameras will be available from October onwards, with the 170 retailing for USD 399(~RM 1638), and the 80 retailing at USD 279 (~RM 1145).
